The Gee-Gees concluded their final road trip of the regular season in Kingston with two wins, adding to yesterday’s win over Queen’s with a 105-34 win over RMC this afternoon.
The Gee-Gees had an exceptional second quarter, holding RMC to only two points while stacking up 33 on the board themselves. It was the second time Ottawa cracked the century mark in a game this season, following a 119 point performance over Waterloo in December.
Mike L'Africain led the Gee-Gees with 16 points, followed closely by Vikas Gill who chipped in 15. Third-year centre Shamus Ferguson (Toronto, Ont.) had a career-best 14 point performance in tonight’s win.
The Gee-Gees will close their regular season with two home games at Montpetit Hall at 8:00 p.m. next Friday, February 17 against Ryerson and Saturday, February 18 against Toronto. The Gee-Gees will need to win one of the two games in order to secure their present second-place OUA East standing heading into the playoffs.
